Insecurities

So, four days into NaNoWriMo, and I'm already behind some of the campers in my cabin. I mean, how the hell has one of them written 6,000 words, whilst still going to school?! I'm on holiday, and all I've written is 3,453 words. 

It's not fair how, that to get words written down, I've had to force the information out of my characters, by threatening to kill them. Seriously. Sky has had three death threats already, and all the information that she's given me is that she doesn't want to die.

How does that help me to get the words piling up? That's right, it doesn't. But, at least Gretcha's giving me information . . . too bad she's not in the scene that I'm stuck on writing. 

Grr...

In other, much more happy news, Maggie Stiefvater is coming to my school for a book signing and a presentation!!! And I'm allowed to go!

 

OK, well, I might be able to go, if my teachers let me. See, she is supposed to see the year below me, but I emailed the teacher who is organizing it to ask if I could go because she is my favourite author. And she said yes!

 

But, she has to ask my teachers if I can miss their lessons to see her. I think they'll say yes, though, since they like me.

 

I'm so excited! She's coming next Monday, and I can't wait. Monday, you better come quickly!

 

Inspiration

The fish in my pond have given birth (well, their eggs have hatched) to tiny, blue, baby fish! Aw, they are so adorable! Sometimes they jump out and do little flips that are really cute. And it's given me inspiration to have actual flying fish in Pelesivia. Perhaps a land of Flying Fish?

In other news, I have now officially gotten over my cat picture obsession! Yes, joy to the world and all that. But I have now got a piano picture obsession. Yes, ever since I looked for piano pictures to put on my Booksie profile, I've become addicted to how pretty they look. 

So, be expected to be hit with beautiful piano pictures...

Games, Summer And Bees

Today in games I completely embarrassed myself. We were playing rounders, and I was on my way to getting a whole rounder, when this girl, with the ball, ran towards me (I mean, hello! Was she blind?!) and we collided into each other. I literally flew! I landed, like, two metres away. I laughed it off, but it was still so embarrassing!!

Yes, the lovely sunshine has arrived. At least for a week, anyway. It was cloudy today, but all the heat stayed, and it was really stuffy and humid. Playing rounders in that is NOT fun. 

It's hot and uncomfortable.

We also have a bee infestation at school today. Someone disturbed the nest, and tons of bees came swarming out. They have to gas it tonight, to kill them off. Poor bees.

My Entry!!

So, after a lot of hair pulling, frustrated screams and more than enough yawns, last night I finished my competition piece that only a couple of days ago I had found so hard. 

Thanks to my lovely Booksie friend (Sliver May, check her out!) gave me a website with lots of fun and very interesting facts on Goblins, and I thought of an idea that turned out to be a hit with the competition judge.

Basically, it was a short story, and I named it Enchante Belle, which is French for Enchanted Belle. It was a one-sided love story, so only the main character was in love with the girl.

And I forgot, whilst I was writing it, that my element was water, and thought it was fire instead. So, I asked the judge to change the element to fire, and luckily, she understood and changed it.

Missing School . . .

I've been abnormally tired these past three days, and only today have I realised how tired I really am. Mum had to work early this morning, and so it was my job to wake myself up to go get a lift with my friend.

What a fail that ended up to be. 

I woke up at 9:17 a.m. and still as tired as can be. But, after I had looked at my iPod - to see the time - I remembered: today was Friday, I was supposed to be in school! So I rang my Mum up on her mobile and, as terrified as can be, I told her what had happened.

She wasn't particularly happy about the problem, but reassured me that she will tell the school that I was ill, and that I shouldn't worry, these things happen. She also told me not to tell my Dad, because it is very likely he will kill us.

So, I found this picture, and I thought I would post this on here, so I can get all this out of my system. 

 

My . . . Cat obsession?

My obsession with cats has reached a new level. I'm not a huge fan of cats (or at least, I wasn't before) and now, whenever I see a cat whilst I'm walking home, I actually consider stealing it O.O

No cats were stolen before the making of this post.

Another Competition

I am so excited!! Why, you ask? I have just entered into my third contest on Booksie, my other writing site I go on.

It's about mythical creatures and elements. I had to pick a number between 1-15 and an element. I picked water (because come on, water is awesome!) and I picked the number 14, simply because it was my age.

I got a Goblin!! Yeah. So, at first, as soon as I got it, I was a bit sceptical - still am really. I have a few ideas of what to write, but nothing that really sticks out, you know? I just hopes this ideas block ends before July 4th, because that's the deadline.

As soon as I post it, I'll be sure to tell you lot (not that anyone's reading or following me anyway) and give a link to it so you can read what I write and be interested.
